ŘANDA HAVEL LEGAL provided legal advice for ŠKODA POWER a.s. on the successfully completed negotiations with Sherrit Power and concluded a contract for work for delivery of a steam turbine with equipment for the steam-gas power plant project in Boca de Jaruco, Cuba.
Our law firm provided legal service for ŠKODA POWER a.s., a leading European manufacturer of steam turbines, during negotiation and conclusion of a contract with Sherrit Power, a division of Sherrit International Corporation, a company dealing with nickel mining. Sherrit Power is expanding its existing gas power plant in Boca de Jaruco, Cuba, by adding five gas turbines to a gas-steam cycle. ŠKODA POWER’s delivery for this project consists of a 150 MW steam turbine, an oil system, pipes and other components. The deliveries for the project shall take place in the middle of 2010, the start of commercial operation is planned for May 2011. Entire transaction exceeding tens million EUR was led by Jan Havel, partner of RHL.
