What is the aim of the Moderní advokacie platform? Through its representatives in elected Czech Bar Association bodies, Moderní advokacie pushes for public administration in the legal profession to be performed by the Czech Bar Association, as an apolitical, independent and self-governing professional organisation that ensures a modern regulatory framework for the performance of legal work, defends the independent position of attorneys and supports the right to legal aid. It wants the Czech Bar Association to exercise supervisory and disciplinary powers independently of the government, to arrange education for articled clerks and attorneys, to actively contribute to the legislative process and to support the good reputation of the legal profession.
